I'm writing an essay and I need to know what historical figure has lied to hide/mask the truth or a secret to protect something or to cover up a secret plan or something like that.
Well, we humans have a rich history of lying and covering our tracks. You could, of course, just pick any of our recent presidents - Bush for the war in Iraq or Clinton for his sexual infidelity.
