Cote D'ivoire scam emails?
I've recently been getting pathetically written emails asking for help, and money transfer and a reward. I looked up Cote Divoire on Google and I found out that it was somewhere in West Africa and I looked further and found out about the scam emails. I didn't respond to any of them, I just deleted them. Yesterday was the first time I got one, and I just got a different one today. What should I do?
Just delete them - the problem is, since you opened one they know your account is active and will keep targeting you. And if you ever responded to one of these people, you are going to have to change your email address as it will never stop now
Never open emails from people you don't know - they often contain viruses/malware. And every time you open spam you send a return receipt back to the sender so they know your account is active and you are a potential victim, so your name gets added to their scam list
