Tinga Tinga - An African Art
Tinga Tinga painting home in southern Tanzania and Mozambique and were painted from pigments found in nature, typical subjects to be painted were people and animals. Tinga Tinga appointed by Edward S. Tingatinga. He was born in Mozambique, but later he moved to Tanzania and settled there. During the 1960s, he established an African art form that became associated with his new homeland, Tanzania. Today Tinga Tinga is the Tanzanian term for this form of art, best known in Tanzania, Kenya, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.
Among the successors Edward S. Tingatinga's, his half-brother Seymond Mpata must be mentioned. Early in his career, he painted tourist-friendly landscape motifs such as "Kilimanjaro" with its snowy peaks, landscapes with exotic animals, etc. A cousin to the wife of Edward, January Linda, was instrumental in its establishment in the market at an early stage, and was also a painter herself. Cousins Alcis Amonde and Kasper Henrik Tedo joined the operation as Ajab nephew Abdullah. Tingatinga Edward died in 1972 when he entered a restricted area near a harbor and chose to run when the order to stop. He was shot.
Over the years, knowledge about Tinga Tinga has spread to other parts of Africa and Europe and other English-speaking regions. Tinga Tinga is a concept that development assistance workers and African tourists alike were established, but which, over time, has lost its uniqueness. The apartment lush surface decorations can even be found in the illustrations of the revolutionary early 1970s political pamphlets, which were produced in Tanzania by freedom fighters in exile in Mozambique.
